Hello,

My best friend had a 2012 Civic daily commuter w/ 60k miles, then he passed away a month ago, and his sister from another state is driving the car while she sorts out his estate. A few days ago she started it up (having driven it 2 days earlier w/ no issues) and she was greeted with "Check Power Steering" warning message on the LCD panel, and, sure enough, the EPS is not working.

I was just wondering if this is a common issue, or if anyone has any words of advice besides "Take it to the dealer". This is my first experience with EPS, and I'd like to help her out as she is overwhelmed with other tasks just now.
