03 LX, replacing stock D17A1 with stock D17A1 - out the bottom?
I have a lift, just haven't ever done a FWD car before. My 03 Civic LX 5spd is all stock and I'm putting it back all stock. It's my daily driver and I commute 175 miles per day. The car has 332K miles on it, but is in near perfect condition other than the engine, so I really don't want to replace it.
I bought a low miles D17A1 and I have it stripped off the parts that won't be used, and it's cleaned up and ready to go in. However, I had originally thought of pulling the engine out the top, but from what little I've found on the subject, it appears the easy way is out the bottom.
As I mentioned, I do have a 2 post lift, just wondering if I need to drop the engine out the bottom, or pull it out the top. I'll also be replacing the clutch while I've got the engine out, as the clutch is still the OE.
Any tech advice is appreciated.

If you have a lift it's much easier to go out the bottom. Support the engine/trans with your tranny jack then drop the sub-frame down around it. You'll have to step around the sub-frame after that. Good luck and post up how it went.
All i moved was power steering lines, shiftlinkage, clutch line and wire harness
