What kind of milage can I expect to get from a stock clutch in a 94 civic? I've got 130,000 miles on it so far.

 

if its the stock engine, i would say the life of the car. But if its got a lotta bolt-ons or ur spraying no2, then significantly shorter!

Your answer depends mainly on your driving style. If you drive like a grandma, then you probably won't have to worry about ever replacing it. However, if you drive-drive it, & especially if you hit the track at all, I wouldn't expect more than 60k out of a stocker.

 

I'm somewhere in between. I was just curious. We hardly ever see any 1992 and up Civics in the shop needing clutches. (It kind of sucks because they are so easy to replace.) I guess they are pretty durable under normal conditions.

 

I went 135K on stocker, did 3 seasons of autox, 300 trips down the 1/4 mile, plus daily ABUSE.

That clutch is now in a 90 CRX DX somewhere in Minnesota.

 

Holy ****!! That's insane. But, abuse from someone who's GOOD at driving a stick is MUCH different than abuse from someone who is NOT that good at driving it. But still, that's an impressive stock clutch.
