BC stroker kit 'long rod' vs 'normal'?
Hi all,
can anyone advise please? I am in the process of purchasing a stroker kit, however there are a few options that i am unfamiliar with so need to make sure i get the right kit.
I am using a set of pistons that i already own (they are the same as a set i could get with the kit 'CP7136'), so need to make sure i get the correct rods to do with them. The term long rod is coming up, which i presume will only work with a custom set of pistons? i.e. what i need is the "normal" type?
Can anybody clarify please?
Thanks!

Depends how long you are trying to go. A little extra length is good, a little more is better, too much slows the piston acceleration down and can have adverse effects on cylinder filling at lower rpm. There's a sweet spot for every setup, but you almost need to be an engine designer (or at least have enough experience) to know what works/doesn't work.
