Unless they changed the caps to have a hole for the neg/pos wires, you have to drill or notch one in.
It's fairly straight forward once you take out the old coil.

But unless you're making a lot more power, the external coil will be more trouble than not.

Yea there pretty much pointless and theres other better options if your making the power where its needed. Plenty of high hp B series still use the oem distributor. I think back 10 years ago it was a option and looked cool but imo its pointless to have on, I had one of those years and years ago, in fact i had the blaster coil, cap and digital 6 plus rev limiter box when i used to drag race on my All motor gsr, it diddnt help out in any way for me and was more trouble than anything with the hacked up wiring needed i took it off after a few weeks. And sorry i forgot how to set it up lol.

well yeah i bought it for a little more power, its got the extra spot for the extra wire on the cap and one on the coil. i was gonna get a new distributor and just take out the coil and install the new stuff on it. so once i take out the old coild and put the rotor and cap on what do i do with the external one?

i was gonna run msd plugs and wires too, just do a whole msd ignition. the company told me it would make an extra 2-4 hp for the cap, rotor and coil kit. and id rather use this than replace the internal coil with an accell since i already bought it

Yeah no, you're not going to make any power off extra spark on these.
