use use an external coil?
drill a hole for wires to come out of the distruabator thats all
also since u have a 94ls i assume
just get a 92-96 preludevtec exteranl coil cap
it works wonders

Unless you have some high revving heavily modified engine, stay away from msd external coilpacks. There was one on my car when i bought it and all it's given me is **** so far.

like mentioned you just have to drill a small hole for two wires, its easy. and theres nothin wrong using an external coil on a non-heavliy modified car. i have mine (msd) because i found it cheaper than oem when my old one went out on me.

The coil won't be making you hp, pretty much it just helps stop misfire at high rpms. It's easiest to just get a MSD cap, You also have to take out the coil inside your stock distributor and have two wires from the pack go inside your distributor.

For a stock and near stock engine, you won't find any need for a MSD external coil pack, you'll more then likely have more things to worry about with it.
