I was told that resisitor box needs to be added to the harness, that's all cool. I took all the yell/blk wires and put them to all the black wires on the resisitor box but what the hell do I do with the red wire?

You might try the 4th gen civic forum, they deal with this box all the time. They convert from dual point injection to multi port, so they will have diagrams out of the ***.
