Re: h22 swap guide (B20_2ner)
what all do you need. Its pretty simple, mountkit, axles 92-95ex-ecu, prelude shiftlinkage and a holesaw to cut a hole in the firewall.

The resistor box is easy. Just run the power wire that goes to each injector to the resistor box. Then the resistor box to power. Bam your done. Also i would recomend an ex harness for the ease of installation. Your best bet if you can find one would be a hx harness cause it already haas the egr in it which is a pain to wire. The hardest part when i did my swap was the rear mount. Had a little trouble lineing everything up. The wiring took awhile also cause i had to rewire the whole distubutor. Also there is alot of extended and figuring out all your plugs. All in all it wasnt that hard. Had to trim some metal outta the shifter hole so the place racing box had room for the shifter to move. It took me about 4 and a half days working on it off and on. So have fun.

Firewall what??? Dont make me flush you for a stupid question with no detail.
Oh and yes the intake manifold is kinda close to the firewall if thats what u are trying to ask.

Its alot easier to cut a hole in the floor instead of fire wall. Theres no need to cut any holes in the firewall at all.
Why is everyone so cocky on this board.

That's the final product there. No need for any special "shifter box" or anything like that. Just bolt the Prelude shifter on and you're ready to go. Cover it up (I did that to hide the bracket and cables) for a cleaner look.

Re: h22 swap guide (Newman)
hey newman, my cables are exactly in the position, only it's more up on the chassis away from the exhaust to prevent heat to them.
problem is, after a while, i sometimes smell burning rubber (like you are smoking your tires) but very mild, and is coming thru the hole that was drilled in to make the prelude shifter bolt on.
haven't lifted the car yet to see what the deal is, but did you have this prob?

Re: h22 swap guide (poison)
Hmm, I'm concerned with this too.. That looks about right for my setup too. My dp is INCREDIBLY close to the rubber too. Do you think a simple mild steel heatshield will stop most heat from getting to this, or should more be done to keep my baby from burnin' up??

Re: h22 swap guide (poison)
Weird... nope, never had a "burning smell" problem at all with the cables or anything else underneath the shifter. Everything clears just fine (we've had 6 H22 Civics up in the air and they all clear the exhaust just fine). The thing that you do smell (until you put some insulation lining around the shifter, and cover it with the shift console cover) are the exhaust fumes pouring into the cab... especially when you're not running a cat
