Default Are all the d series driveshafts identical?

Hi everybody. I'm new to this site, hope there isn't another thread with this question because if it is, I couldn't find it. My question is: Are all the d series driveshafts identical? I have a 94 Civic eg3 with d13b2 (Europe model). I'm considering replacing the driveshafts and I want to know if I can take them from a d16z6 Del Sol. I already swapped the knuckles with the ones from the Sol i was talking about, keeping the original d13 driveshafts so i know that this isn't a problem, but will they fit on the other side? Thanks!

I can't speak for the d series in other countries but in the US the 92-00 d series axles are interchangeable. The only difference would be if your car had ABS it would have a tone ring on it and would need to be swapped over if the donor axle didn't have it.

My car and the donor both lack the ABS system. I guess there's no difference between USDM and EDM models mechanically speaking, just that the d13b2 1.3 16v 75HP PGM-Carb engine which I have was sold only in Europe and maybe Japan (not sure though).

All dseries from 92-00 call for the same axles. Even whether it's automatic trans or stick is irrelevant. Only difference would be the abs ring

Thank you both for your answers. I just needed to confirm the rumor that I heard before disassembling half the car...

What kind of mis-information is this?

no, EG and EK axles are not the same.

Yes they "fit".

OP, del sol fits into EG *chassis* style, so yes, you have axles to swap. do work!.

Others puking incorrect information. Do a google search yourselves.

EG and EK have different compressed and non-compressed axle lengths.

There is a reason EG and EK do NOT share subframes even.

I just went to tech parts express last week. I bought axles for my 99 manual trans d16. My coworker bought axles for his 94 automatic transmission d16z6. Same exact axles. Same part numbers so where's the misinformation?

92-00 d16 share axles
Left 773-708
Right 500-505

88-91 d series have different length axles than 92-00

I've used them interchangeably for years with no issues. I don't need to google search experience.

honda oem part number
found MY misinformation

OBD0 versus OBD1/2

between OBD1 and 2 only a few millimeters driverside, but passenger side has a bigger difference between eg and ek

Bottom line is 92-00 d series are interchangeable auto or manual. The 88-91 will not work for 92-00

left axle is longer, right is shorter than 92-00

88 axles 21 spline
89-91 axles 20 spline

Hi, I’m doing a manual swap on my 98 JDM ZC ABS auto Integra (that a mouthful). Have found a D series gearbox for it but am having trouble finding axles. Some people have said I need manual D series axles specifically for an Integra and others said I can use the auto ones and just bolt an intermediate shaft on.
Hoping you could clear this up for me?
