Default upper control arms hit

Ive read about this, with aftermarket adjustable upper arms. The solution to this, from my research, is go stock and itll be fine ( because the aftermarket ones are bigger than stock, i guess). Problem is my car needs the adjustability, because with stock uca my camber is neg 2.7 degrees. This only happened after i added extended top hats to my current setup, which doesnt make sense... it should have helped my ride. Anyways, i didnt use the bump stop fhay came with the top hats, because they looked too big, so i used some cut n half ones i have. Im going to put the bump stops that were supplied on my setup, see if it helps , in the morning. But any other suggestions?

What brand of camber kit did you use? I've seen the eBay kits hitting inside of the frame rail. I'm using a skunk2 and I have no problems at all. Several friends have this same kit and it works perfectly for them too.

I don't understand how adding the top hats messed with the upper control arms. That part really doesn't make sense. Is everything bolt up correctly?

You were probably riding on bumpstops before using the extended tophats and now that your shock has more travel it isn't bottoming out and isn't the first thing to run out of room. You could use larger bumpstops to keep your control arm/camber kit from contacting your chassis. Only other option is changing to a different UCA if that's the cause of your problem (you'll have to look where it's hitting) or modify the chassis as an extreme resort. OR you could raise it up.

-2.7 camber is fine.

Just align the toe with a little toe out, not in.

Think of it this way, hitting UCA and limiting travel even more is a far worse problem than a little neg camber.

Thanks for the insight guys. I am using ebay adjustable arms, only because i couldnt shell out the money for s2 ones ar the time. I got them because an alignment shop said they couldnt zero out or adjust at all the driver side camber issue. They wanted like 220 to install an adjustable ball joint, so i bought a cheapo one off ebay. It helped tho, because when i had the stock uca, my car would accelerate sucky, like it wouldnt grip properly, and after the ebay uca, it accelerates normally. I believe i was riding on the bump stops before the extended top hats, makes sense. I wish i could raise the front a bit more, but the gc sleeves are cut, from the cup part that says Ground Control( i guess so the car can be lowered more) and i have them all the way to the top and i can barely fit my index finger in between the tire and fender. On a side note, does any one else rub with 185-65-14s? My crank pulley cover splashshield is getting scrapped when my tire is fully turned. Are the proper tires or the crx and ef chassis 185-60?

I run -3.6, with stock UCA's... No excessive tire wear. I run a stock 185/75 too. It'll hit the towers every once in a while over a nasty bump.

But lemme tell you, I have ALOT of travel. And should be hitting them on every bump but i don't. And I'm slammed. Friends dropped only 3in with eBay camber kit and hits it all the damn time. He's going back to stock UCAs lol

I installed the larger bump stop and now it doesnt hit anymore. Rides ok. Also went with a smaller tire, 185-60-14. But man it was so bad before, the tiniest bump in the road would cause it to just slam the tower violently. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
