trying to find out more on this turbo - Turbo Dodge Forums : Turbo Dodge Forum for Turbo Mopars, Shelbys, Dodge Daytona, Dodge SRT-4, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Omni and more!
I have this exact turbo. I've been having trouble identifying it. I really just want to find a .63 turbine housing for it, but I'm coming up empty. I'm certain the .48 housing on it is going to be too small for me. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

I am not the guy to answer this question, but what the hell
A cheap thing to do, would be find an ebay turbo with a .63 turbine housing, and see if it fits!

That looks like a plain old stage 1 t3 turbine wheel, you can measure to confirm. .63 housings do exist for that wheel. The late model manual transmission SVO Mustangs and a Thunderbirds used a Garrett turbocharger with the same CHRA and turbine wheel in a .63 turbine housing.
eBay is going to be your best bet to find one. Also look at G Pop Shop and Blaast Performance, they seem to always have things like that in stock.

Yeah, I'm not going to randomly order and check. that would be the opposite of the cheap thing to do. Thanks Shodan, I figured there would be at least one response like that. I'll take my housing off and measure. Was hoping someone might know off the top of their head. Thanks for the good info wantboost, I've never heard of either of those shops. I'll research and report back if I need further guidance.

You don't need to measure, I know that's what that turbine wheel is. I had a parts 60 trim T3 at one point but I can't find the turbine housing. I do have a polished compressor housing though lol.

Still having trouble. Took measurements, Turbine as follows inducer= 2.29" exducer= 1.91" tip height= .46/ compressor as follows inducer= 1.90" exducer= 2.63" tip height= .30"
received my downpipe, the 5 bolt flange on the dp is slightly smaller than the bolt pattern on my exhaust housing. I really want a housing with a .63 ar w/ a flange that fits my dp. Otherwise I need to order a 5.5" 5 bolt flange to modify my dp to fit. Any help is appreciated. I've been googling away for quite some time. TIA

Inducer: 58.90mm = 2.32"
Exducer: 48.21mm = 1.89"
So, you need to find a turbine housing that uses a "Stage I" exhaust wheel, which is going to be a PITA to find. No one's had those available in 15 years. But the key word search you want is "Stage I Turbine Housing".
Good luck to you.

thanks wantboost! Thanks Shodan, I've been following several threads over the years, in which you have had a great influence on. I respect your advice, I've decided to purchase a flange to modify my DP with. I figure I might as well keep my turbo the way it is, sell it in the future, and purchase a new turbo in the future. I've always been intrigued by the turbos you offer. I'll be buying a spare block and starting a new build. I will contact you at speedtrapp consulting probably in the next 6 months or so. Again, thanks for the advice guys.

I mean that is a decent turbo to upgrade, a few options can be done somewhat affordably although if you're paying someone to do the work for you it can get expensive and depending on your ultimate goals it would probably be easier to just but another turbo.
I do accept oddball turbo donations lol
