Leaking master brake cylinder - repair or replacement?
1992 Honda VX hatch
I've dealt with a lot of different things while working on my vehicles over the years, but I have never had to deal with a leaking master brake cylinder. It is running down the face of the brake booster.
Is there a simple seal replacement or rebuild kit? I'm usually an OEM guy and I know the OEM master brake cylinder is quite expensive for a car worth 3-4k.
If there is not a simple seal or rebuild kit then what is the interchange on this part between other years/models? It is a vx, which tends to always have some sort of slightly different part so I always have to double/triple check before interchanging parts. I don't mind a used OEM one from the yard. Are the aftermarket (napa, oreilly's, autozone etc..) any good or worth a D***?
Thanks for any input.

Excuse my possible ignorance here, but how else would it be leaking down the front of the brake booster? It is not the reservoir that leaking on top and it is not the brake line connections to the master. There is no power steering.
Excust my ignorance but you posted about a civic hatchback in an accord forum. It's possible somehow water is leaking down the booster so I thought to make sure you were sure.
My most sincere apologies. I have posted here often enough that I am not sure how I overlooked that I was posting in the accord forum. I do appreciate your assistance. I will post in the civic forum now.
