I'm planning one getting a newcoilover kit for my 99' gsr. Was planning on getting skunk2 pro cs but I wanted to hear about other good ones out there before I make my decision. I can spend well over $1000 so let me know

They're awful. You also didn't state a purpose for your car. So I'm guessing you just want to lower it for looks?

Check out that thread towards the last few posts. There are some recommendations in there. Function Form is more awful than the Skunk2, to answer your next question.
I have rated Skunk2, f&f, and other commonly bought brands by levels of sadness. Sadness is the only way to measure them.

I'm trying to decide between D2's and Buddy Clubs for my EK 2dr. I want something that is going to ride nice and handle well, but also be able to go as low as i want it to ( full tuck all the way round). Any experience or suggestions?
BTW, I cannot seem to be able to find specs anywhere on how low either of those i just named can go... anyone have them and know?

I'm leaning towards towards koni coilovers for my integra, they are in that price range. From what I heard d2s are good too. Check out this forum on coilover reviews, it helped me decide on mine:

You can't (shouldn't) go lower than about 2" on Koni/GC in the same way that you can't (shouldn't) hit your ******* with a hammer.
You can do 2.5" with extended hats.
Koni/GC is great for versatility and they are high quality. If you don't want to go lower than 2 - 2.5", and you need versatility (a huge spring rate range that the shocks work with), they're a pretty unbeatable option.
To get low on Koni/GC, you can shorten the shocks, you can get ridiculously stiff springs to keep you off the bump stops, and get extended hats or weld custom towers. But...why the eff....?
If you want to go low, there are a few $800-1k coilovers that have full body adjustment. The Tein street flex is a nice setup that will get you low, rides well, has ACTUAL R&D behind it, is made by a reputable company with a good track record, etc.
You can do 2.5" with extended hats.

Definitely go with Koni/GC if you can afford them and want the drop they bring. I like to suggest Progress CSII coilovers for the budget friendly option. Usually they are $600 shipped with a HT code.
yeah i hear koni/gc on like every thread on here which leads me to believe that they are good ****. But I'm looking for something with similar quality in a coilover that us able to easily go Lower than the koni/gc combo.. Is there any such things? if they are they are damn illusive.

What do you mean by the same quality? That can mean quite a few things.
I mentioned Tein street flexes like 3-4 posts up. Seems less than illusive.
no i meant that the drop specs are illusive. i was about to order the teins the other day, but then i was told that they don't go as low as the d2 or buddy club.. so now I'm trying to device between the three...

I think tein lists a max drop of something insane like 3.5 or 5" on their website. Info is out there for sure.
How low do you want to go? 3.5" is a massive drop.

I'm sure the Tein will get you that low. If you have the car almost that low on stock length shocks, you are riding on bumpstops....not springs.
That hatch is almost surely not daily driven. He probably doesn't care about big bumps, things scraping/hitting the chassis that will open the metal up to rust, going through axles, ball joints, etc.
Is your car daily driven?

I used to slam cars pretty low and DD them. It just depends on your own tastes and what you're willing to endure.
A slammed car with full body adjustable coilovers won't ride like **** because you're still holding on to shock travel without having to run ridiculous spring rates.
You're still going to run into clearance problems with road obstacles, control arms hitting the shock tower, etc.
You'll also be wearing out ball joints and axles.
Lowering a car is done successfully by blending together the amount of **** you're willing to deal with, combined with how you want the car to look, ultimately. For a DD, its a compromise of both those things.
Lucky for me...I don't really love the slammed look. I have a thread with pictures of daily drivers and my opinions of *some* (not all) the suspension kits I've used. Also...info on how to properly lower a car...regardless of height. Browse if you'd like.

I used to ride around like this on Tokico blues and ebay sleeves (LOL). The ride was awful, obviously. But back then, I didn't know what a properly set up car was supposed to feel like.

I'm sure you could do that with the Teins. But you'll need to be aware that axles/ball joints will wear out faster...and you'll have to dodge EVERYTHING.
At this point, if we're talking about civics/integras, my preferred compromise height would be:

^on Tein SS at their highest setting (lol)

^as low as I'd recommend on Koni/GC (stock hats).

Here's how my setup looks currently. Definitely want to be at least this low in the front and a little lower in the back so that it sits even with the front. But i also need it to ride better than it currently does... aka, not on the bumpstops. LOL
