Lightweight flywheel - Fidanza?
I've searched around for Fidanza flywheel reviews to no avail. I have seen the reviews for the 1.8 FW but that helps me very little.
anyone have experience with them? They used to be big back in the day. From the looks of the 2 piece design, they might not be used because of the issues they might have with the friction plate possibly coming loose (just an observation)? For the price, if they are quality pieces its a great deal.
I would be using it with an Exedy OEM replacement (maybe an organic stage 1, because I would like to go K24/K20 with cams eventually).

I know them feels... nothing on Fidanza for the 8th in terms of reviews. I looked a lot and couldn't find anything.
I'm going with the Stage 1 Exedy organic clutch and will be matting it with the Exedy flywheel #HF02.
I checked both have similar weight the Fidanza is 8lbs and the Exedy is 8.9lbs. Assuming Fidanza is still as good as they were back in the day then I would go with it but the lack of reviews is making me swing towards the Exedy since it has been reviewed more at least!

Plus, the Fidanza is 1/3 the cost of the Exedy/CM/CC flywheels if you know where to look... I almost want to be a guinea pig for it, but I can't afford a new motor/trans it the ish goes south.
I don't think it should... I think it should be fine!
My only concern is 8lbs is really light... might not be fun in traffic... i would go something more like 10-11 lbs which is 5lbs lighter the stock about.

I agree on this when i went to a ACT streetlite flywheel in my 06 WRX that car would turn off sometimes and you dont even feel it lol. I was like ??? i stalled. but boy did it make a difference in response.
which tranny are you using?
you can also swap all the internals of the Si tranny with the LSD in any K20 casing as the Si tranny doesn't bold up directly to all Ks except for the K20Z1 if memory serves me right!

well... i WAS going to use the stock Si tranny, as none of the frank swap guides ive read said anything about changing casings to bolt up to the k24. this changes everything now lol.
I had the Fidanza light weight combo on my H22 in an Accord for over 60kmi and really had to drive it aggressive for that engagement to stick.
If I drove it the least bit normal it would chatter and scrub. I just got used to it and probably wouldn't get a clutch assy that light in a daily again though.

I had an exedy flywheel in my 99 gsr, it was a pain for regular driving. The rpm fall way too fast when shifting at 3-4k rpm. With the si's shorter gearing, it'll be even worse. I wouldn't get one that light for daily driving again.

The problem with Fidanza flywheels is that they're made of aluminum. I guess it still works. I'd prefer a 1pc steel (chromoly) flywheel like the Exedy.
A Si trans should bolt onto any K block.
It requires a case swap to swap into the TSX/Accord CHASSIS. It bolts to the engine. Not the chassis.
A K20 flywheel is required on a K24 if you want to use a K20 clutch like an Exedy Stage1.
I'd buy the stage1. I wouldn't buy the OEM replacement unless you only plan to DD it with stockish power. If you beat on that OEM replacement, it will fly apart.
I would also highly recommend Honda Genuine bearings and urea grease.
