98 Integra Maintenance Required (Re-Calibrate) - Reprogram?
Is there a way to change this to where it comes on at 5,000 or 4,000 miles instead of the standard?
Anyone ever done this or heard of it?

No.... just write down when you changed your oil OR W/E if you want to do it every 4k, it's an oil mechanical style counter nothing you can do.

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
I'm sure there's a way to reprogram it so that the light turns on every 4 or 5k instead of 7500. But.....I don't believe there is some easy hack that's been documented. Get a wiring diagram and figure out how it works. Maybe you can switch a resistor or something easy. If its solid state, and you're savvy enough to reprogram it....well...you wouldn't be asking this question....
If that sounds like more trouble than it sounds like a fun project....try writing your mileage in an excel sheet with a calculated cell that adds 5k miles to whatever number you plug in for "current miles".
Its harder to lose than a piece of paper.
The other ways to keep track of your mileage are obvious and less creative. So I won't insult you by mentioning them.
