Engine whine [VIDEO]
On my 2006 Accord V6, the engine just started making a whining noise that increases in pitch as I push the gas pedal. The whine occurs even with all accessories off, with the radiator fans off, and no matter what gear I am in.
The whine seems to be coming from around the serpentine belt area. I replaced the belt sometime last year, so it should still be in good shape.
You can hear in this video at the beginning the fans turn off, and then I increase the RPM.
Any ideas?

I see in another thread someone recommended removing the serpentine belt. Is there a fuse or something I could unplug that would have the same effect, to stop that belt from turning?
The power steering pump is not electrical. If you don't want to remove the belt, simply change the inlet joint o-ring. The o-ring doesn't cost much, and it's the most common cause for the noise.
Yes, it could be the PS pump/line o-ring, that usually only shows up when the car is cold.
Does this noise happen all the time - cold engine and when the engine is at normal op temp? You talk about the fans but I don't kow if they are running because the ac is on.
Any recent work done to the car?
