Default Odd EG cruise control problem

I'm having a little trouble with the cruise control in my 93 Civic.

My cruise control has not worked since I got the car. I switched out the cluster bulb, went for a test run, and I seemed to had gotten it to work. I hit the brake pedal, it flickered, and shut off. When I went to turn it back on, it stopped working again and has not worked since. I checked the cluster bulb and it looks just fine.

Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing this?

Stock CC?

Manual or auto transmission?

It's stock. And the car is an auto.

Sorry, I didn't think about stating that in the first post. I should have.

Check the CC brake switch on the pedal.

Contact A and D have continuity when the pedal is released, and B and C have it when it's pushed. I've never done this before, so I'm not 100% on how to interpret that, but it seems to be fine.

Error in service manual -- There's a discrepancy between the CC circuit diagram and the brake switch test.

The circuit diagram indicates that there should be continuity between A-B with pedal depressed and continuity between C-D with pedal up.

Ah, OK. Since there's no contact between those, then it would be the switch. Sounds like it's time for a trip to the u-pull.

Use the wire colors to verify A-B and C-D continuity.

Well I went ahead and switched out the pedal switch. I still got nothing.

I also forgot to mention that it wasn't till I released the "set" button that it kicked in when it worked.
