Default Please help! Rough idle...

Hey guys and gals I have a 2002 honda civic ex automatic completely stock. It idles rough and hits what seems to be the revlimit at about 3000 to 4000 rpms in every gear while driving. When I come to a stop it drops to about 600 rpms or lower and even dies out some times. It only seems to do it after reaching operating temp. I cleaned the egr valve and the CEL went away and managed to make it to autozone about 4 miles down the road and the light came back up. The code that came out was p1129.

Timing belt replaced about 4 years ago and VTEC value replace 3 months ago.

Any thoughts and help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I did, it said its the map sensor. I'm going to change it tomorrow and go from there. I also google the symptoms and some of them are from the cam and EGR sensors.

After farther troubleshooting I found the the timing is off by 2 teeth. I check cam, map, ECU and erg sensor for connectivity and it all check out fine. I take the car to a Honda dealership so a "Honda technician" can take a look and they came out with... "the transmission is no good it need to be replace". thank got for the free diagnostic coupons! When I got the car back there was no engine light on, no symptoms or noises, by the time I got home 4miles later, the light was on and the symptoms were back.

Why would a Honda technician say is the transmission if the car want to stall at idle, in parking or at a stop light?
