I'm new to the Civic forum, and was a Accord owner until a recent accident. I'm looking at at a 2012 Civic LX from a local Honda dealer, although there will be some warranty, I'm wondering what areas do I need to pay attention to. Accords had trany issues and some other weak spots. Any tips and thoughts would be appreciated.

none really... if the car is under warranty don't worry about it so much.

They are solid cars and work well!
