Default Rough idle can't drive over 20mph

At first when driving it felt like the vtec oil sensor letting me know check oil.But it was full so i went ahead and changed oil/filter.Still the same result, when in park and trying to increase the rpm's it won't go past 2000 it flutters,,sounds like a knock.Any ideas or suggestions?

You might want to check your mechanical timing. That egr code shouldnt cause your car to redline at 2000.

How could it just jump out of time while just driving?

Stranger things have happened.

Verify general engine health.

Crackpot guess.

PCM is expecting a given amount of EGR valve lift at a given rpm under various conditions, but due to lack of vacuum the valve is not opening. Combined with the limted RPM range, I'll go with a restriction in the exhaust.

Check your muffler for any

lol mike I use the "banana in the tailpipe gag" expression when I play jokes on my buddies.

I agree with mike, it's possible you could have a restriction as well. To test, you can remove the front oxygen sensor from the exhaust to allow possible restricted exhaust gas a way to exit. If the car runs better then you know what the cause is.

Car will not hardly start and stay runnning at this point. Was running perfeclty until previous issues started. At the beginning it acted like the vtec oil pressure sensor was acting like low on oil.Not the case, then it sat for a week did'nt have time during the week to work on it.So a week later it does'nt want to start and if it does it wont idle and stops running immediately. So i took egr of fuel off cleaned fuel injectors fuel egr and ports same result.

Next step is disconnect O2 then catalytic converter to see if there is restrictions in the exhaust flow.Any other ideas?
