Post Air suspension or nah?

Hey guys, Im doing a stance/mpg/clean 94 hatch si build. The car is going to be a daily (completely rebuilding a d15z1 for it). Where i live, the roads are not the cleanest and to get into almost anywhere in town you have to go accross an at least 3 inch "V" (dip). Since my focus is appearance, i want to be low but not have to worry about tearing off lips due to set coilover height.

SOO.... HERE IS HOW I SEE MY OPTIONS...

1. raise suspension during the week (going to work&town) lower on weekends
2. Air suspenion

QUESTIONS....

is air worth it? $2,000? cheaper? i make about 250 a week to spend on the car.

Currently on eBay suspension:thumb down: but was thinking about progress cs-II

If i go with air.. whats the best deals or a reputable brand?

COMMENTS....

There is a guy in my town with a CLEANN bagged hatch, that bust my nut when he "pshhhh"'s it on the ground

thanks

air is better, if you want to be parked low and have a safe ride height, too bad most people I know on bags drive their low negating any benefits..

You have $12,000 a year to spend on the car? If this is your DD and you have a...er, specialized goal in mind, then $2K should not be unreasonable to save for. Just wait a couple months and buy the airbags set.

Don't have a clue what's around these days, but almost 15 years ago when "it was cool" I had air ride on my '97 Civic. I had air cylinders though and was almost low enough to lay unibody with 18" rims and 35 series tires. I put titanium blocks on for sparks - it was cool back then too. Ran a 12 gallon air tank with 4 (yes, four) APC pumps. I know technology has gotten MUCH better, but if you are going air ride, you need to decide on what exactly you want to do with it.

Like do you want a fast raise and lower or just to set height? For height only you can get away with smaller valves probably even 3/8". Definitely can get away with smaller tank and compressor too. Basically figure out what you want and I can comment more. My setup before was all about the "show" and I moved it a lot with the fancy plexiglass 10 switch box that was so popular back then. Could even 3-wheel with the rear lifted... LOL, ahhh, the memories.

haha, i guess so but i do not plan on spending anywhere near 12k on my hatch. I'm hoping 7k is completely finished car. but i do literally everything my self, rebuild, parts, wiring, paint. but thanks for the comments guys that info helped a lot. And yes onebadturbocrv, the air suspension is going to just be for set height. so on hwy i could tuck wheels, and in my sh*t a** town i could raise it.

any brand recommendations though?

Im not sure how the shocks and air bags are for hondas,

I noticed air rex, airlift v2, and elevel being popular choices for management
