Default Best Transmission for D16Y7

Hey, I'm sure this may have been already been asked and I can't find it but I'm doing a D16Y7 build and I was wondering what transmission would be the best for acceleration. According to my knowledge most of the D series trannies will work with it but I was wondering which was the best, right now I just have the tranny that is originally from it and a CX tranny which I KNOW was geared for mileage not acceleration so obviously don't want that one.

Thanks for any help guys sorry if this is a repeat post. I'm still new to this.

check here first. Honda Transmission Calculator by ZealAutowerks change the final drive gear ratio using what MFactory or other companies have for final drives. You can gain so much from a fd change. Make sure you also have someone who can change the fd for you if you have no experience inside the trans.

Z6/Y8 trans is the shortest geared OEM trans that will work. If you're so inclined you can however buy aftermarket gear sets and final drives that are geared shorter. You can also mix and match OEM gears to some degree to shorten some gears (most noteably you can use a '92 - '95 CX/VX 3rd gear as 4th in an EX transmission to give you a short 4th)
