Icon2 NEW DRIVER - HELP ME OUT

Hey Honda-Tech, my name is Charlie, I'm 16 years old, and I'm buying a 1988 CRX tomorrow (6-24-15). It runs good, and it is completely stock and unmolested. I'd like to work on the car and make some modifications of course, but I just got my license a couple months ago, and I don't know aloooot about cars. I have a lot of questions and hopefully you guys can give me some insight.

1. What online stores are good for buying parts?
2. What popular stores in the US are good for buying parts? (Exhaust, seat, rims, floor mats, receivers, pedals, anything)
3. What are some appropriate engine swaps for a CRX? How much, approximately, what a particular swap increase my horsepower/torque, and price?
4. Where would someone buy a new engine? If online and over seas, how ridiculous are the shipping costs?
5. What modifications will decrease my gas milage?
6. Where (like a business) would I go to have an engine swap done? How long would the process and service cost?

I may edit the thread later on with further questions. Any answers and experiences you guys have with this car in particular or working on cars in general will be appreciated.

I know you're excited but learn how to properly drive the car first, get yourself a manual either online or hardcopy and read through it, practice doing simple things first like air filter replacement, spark plugs, oil change etc. If any maintenance parts need replacement do that first before modifying properly working ones. Just take it slow and don't get in over your head, you gotta walk before you can run.

1. What online stores are good for buying parts? Ebay just buy quality parts from a good seller, you can buy them through vendors on hondamarketplace.com or majestichonda.com

2. What popular stores in the US are good for buying parts? (Exhaust, seat, rims, floor mats, receivers, pedals, anything) refer to #1

3. What are some appropriate engine swaps for a CRX? How much, approximately, what a particular swap increase my horsepower/torque, and price? Read the FAQ at the top of the page, you can do almost anthing nowadays (B16, B18, B20, K20, K24, J32, etc) they'll increase power by 30-100+hp but some good places are hmotorsonline.com and jdmenginedepot.com

4. Where would someone buy a new engine? If online and over seas, how ridiculous are the shipping costs? Buy used, if buying a new you have to buy them from the dealer

5. What modifications will decrease my gas milage? Basically any engine mods decrease mpg at least a little, more air=more fuel=more power but less mileage. Lightening the car and driving style can increase mileage tho.

6. Where (like a business) would I go to have an engine swap done? How long would the process and service cost? Where do you live? Motor swaps usually start around $500 but can be up to $1000 or more depending on it's complexity and what needs to be replaced maintenance wise and how many parts you provide.
