y8 swap in 2000 Civic CEL on
A little history first:
I picked up this 2000 Civic and it had a B18 with an LS transmission. It was run from a p75 ecu with an obd2 to obd1 jumper. It ran good and strong without any problems. The car was originally an auto and all the evap stuff has been removed. I drove this car for 6 months or so and then I bought a Del Sol. I have plans to put the B18 into my Del Sol. I pulled the B18 out and installed a 16y8 I picked up for another project. Using the existing harness(that I know nothing about, as far as what it's out of originally).
Here's where I'm stumped:
I'm running a p28 with a jumper on the y8. I've had to splice the distributor plugs from the small obd2 plug to the big obd2 plug. Other than a few EVAP plugs not hooked up, every connector has a home. The engine fires right up but idles real low. It's got A/C and shakes real bad and tries to die when it's on (at idle). It's a real dog with no power and hits the rev limiter at about 3500rpm. The CEL is on with the DTC 4. CKP circuit malfunction.
-any ideas where to start? Distributor maybe??

It's got an obd2 distributor on it. Which ecu should I run on this? It's stock and going to stay that way. I'm trying to get this thing running good enough to sell it. If I'm understanding correctly, my distributor doesn't have the ckp sensor in it. That's why it's at the crank. Could I have the wrong ecu? Really the only reason I went with obd1 is because the car has no evap parts on it.
Did you ever get this figured out? There are others out here with similar questions. We don't want to fill the forum with the same question overe & over, so it would be nice to know how you resolved the issue.

Yeah, I had two blue wires at the distributor. I had the wrong one hooked up. Also had the idle air control valve and intake air temp sensor connectors backwards. Both use the same style connectors.
