tranny VIN plate question

Need help!

Looking to purchase 97 "all original" ITR, thing is the car does not have a vin plate on the transmission. I was wondering if it did not come one 97s or if the tranny has been changed.

Your feedback ia grealty appreciated.

JDM transmissions do not come with a vin plate but do have the holes for it. It is possible that it was replaced at some point. Any pictures?

Sounds like its been changed to a jdm transmission
