Default Oxygen sensor question

Doing the hx to ex exhaust conversion. Can I use ex oxygen sensors or do I have to use the hx sensors?

Thanks everybody

There are pieces of required, critical information you are failing to give us, that will affect the answer you are given.

Cousin has a 1997 civic hx. Bought the header and cat from an ex
That had the o2 sensors still in them. Can I just use those o2 sensors from
The ex or do I have to use the hx

Is the HX a manual or CVT?

The manual HX used a 5-wire O2 sensor, so the sensors are definitely not the same. Are the sensors in the same location on the EX and HX?

I haven't seen anything yet, but from what I've gathered is the top one is in the same general area. The second one is further back and needs the wiring extended

HX has a tri cat or whatever it's called, like the DX/CX/LX has.

OP if your cousin is doing this for HP gains, don't, it's a waste of time and money just sayin'.

If you are using the HX ECU you'll throw a Cat code and O2 code if you use that manifold and those EX sensors. Are you also swapping over the entire exhaust with the EX cat?

You have to reuse the primary from the HX (5 wire) and use any of the 4 wires you have for the secondary
