timing belt question
Hi all just a quick question. I have a Frankenstein motor I built up and boosted. It’s an A6 head on an F22 block. The problem I’m having is with the timing belt. When I first put the motor together I used an A6 timing belt. The belt fit however it was a little loose and that is with the tensioner to max trying to get all the slack out. I drove the car for about 1500 miles. With no issues. One day just looking over the engine I noticed that the timing belt was looser then when I installed it.
So I went to AutoZone and bought an F22b1 timing belt. This belt is slightly shorter than the A6 belt however I’m unable to install it. My question is does anyone know of a timing belt that will properly fix my motor?
Measurements
A6 timing belt length 1076mm, to long
I need something here
F22b1 timing belt length 1067mm, to short

According to honda the 90-97 f22 engines all use the same timing belt, water pump, tensioner pulley, camshaft gear, and crankshaft timing belt gear.

It looks like you have two options. The vtec engine has a different belt than all the other non vtec f series accords. You're going to have to use whichever one will actually fit.
Keep in mind you should not be doing any manual timing belt tension adjustments. The springs do all the adjusting you should need to tension the belt.
