Mechanic just pulled the following codes but didn't actually tell me what they mean and what it might take to fix...Just told me this was not worth fixing.

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction
P0702 Transmission Control System Electrical

Do you mean P0720? Does the second code return after an ECU reset?

 

The mechanic told me P0700 & P0702 but I'm sure it's possible he meant P0720. Unfortunately he erased the codes but on the P0702 he mentioned a "ratio". He reset the CEL after he read it but it has not come back on, yet...What is ECU reset?
