hey guys my friend came over with a check engine light today. but over the last day or so it turned off. so i checked the code on the ecu and 8 long flashes and 3 short...so 83. i checked every list and there is no code 83. im positive i did it correct. is doing it any different than on my obd1 b18c? she has a 96 civic ex if that helps. sorry i looked everywhere but cant seem to figure this out. thanks in advance

 

odd. is there an autozone around you ? to do free CEL checks

 

yes there is, i will have to see if they do courtesy CEL diagnostics. hmm could it have anything to do with the fact the light had turned off a day prior to me pulling the code?
