Rough Clutch Engagement
Couple days ago I installed a stage 2 clutch kit and now I can't just roll off the clutch anymore it feels like I am gonna stall if I let off the clutch anymore then inch from the engagement point and its really rough like the car shakes a lot more now then it did with my stock one before I was at stall point, is this normal because it is stage 2 or will the roughness go away when I break my clutch in more?
Another issue I am having is when Im idling sometimes I'll get this really loud metal clunking noise from under the hood, it only happens in low Rpms around 300-1000, also I get this clunk sometimes when I shift from 1st to second, but what is weird is I've noticed if I'm sitting on a slight incline it doesn't do it, so at this point I don't have a fucken clue... anyone have any ideas what this possibly could be?
Here's a video of the sound that im getting and what I'm experiencing

I just have a D16A engine swap, pretty much a little better then the stock D16 but a lot of people were telling me to put a stage 2 in because it's better then stock and getting a stage 3 would be pointless unless you're running boost
People need to learn that "Stage 2" can literally mean anything. There is no universal standard for stages from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some stage 2 clutches aren't so bad and some are extremely stiff and have limited friction zones. A stage 2 clutch is going to be more aggressive than stock though period. A stage 2 is only "better" than stock because it can hold more power, not for drivability reasons. Definitely overkill for your application.
I'm new, so bear with me... but I would imagine there's a way to adjust the clutch pedal engagement so that it doesn't want to stall so early/late.
Completely agree. My other vehicle has a dual disc clutch on it. It's definitely not easier to drive on the street compared to the stock clutch - but it's necessary for the extra HP and TQ.

"Stage 2" also doesn't tell us a damn thing. I've seen three puck sprung, solid face sprung, solid face unsprung, and even multi-disc "stage 2" clutch kits. You need to tell us exactly what clutch kit you have before anyone can even remotely begin to help you.

So it's a standard clutch, with the padding material removed. Yes, it'll be a little bit more rough on engagement, but not too bad. It sounds less like a clutch problem, and more like a driver ability problem. Spend some time with it, you'll get used to it. Also, you aren't supposed to let your foot off the clutch without giving it gas. Rock on, rock off.

You bought a clutch that a lot of people had issues with, some actually said they were fine.
Regardless you need to check mounts and also ensure proper break in procedure
