Default Transmission stuck in park

I own a 2003 Honda accord EX, 4cyl and my transmission gets stuck in park very often. I've read a lot of post like this but i can't find an answer. I've replaced my brake pedal/light switch, I checked all the fuses, I checked the brake lights, I took apart the central console to get to the shift lock solenoid and when i touched it with an "electrician's screwdriver" it showed that there is electrical current going through and the solenoid pulled the metal piece inside but when i pressed the brake pedal nothing happens. The shifter works but only once a week or so..and it;s getting really frustrating. PLEASE HELP
