Locating C209 - A/C System Help
2000 Civic EM1
B16a2 Engine/Trans/ECU
(Engine harness has been hacked to ****)
I had some free time yesterday and decided to tackle the PS and AC systems on my car. They had been removed but I bought all the components needed to make them work again.
I started with the PS and it went smooth. An hour after I started I had working PS
As for the AC, I installed everything back in the fall and finally got around to it. I installed the belt and checked tension - good.
I connected our AC machine, ran a leak test - passed. Then I added 625 grams of r134a and thought I was on my way to cold air but like a moron, I completely forgot about C751 on top of the condenser housing, and the fact that it's not connected to anything.
Looking at the wiring diagram, it seems like I'm missing the whole branch for C209. Would this be the right connector?
I have a 4 pin connector. With a blue, red, white and black wires on it.( I know the red and blue have a tracer it could be white or silver, can't recall).
Here's the connector on top of the AC condenser fan housing. I believe it is c751.

So my questions are, where does the branch for C209 originate from? From the left side of the driver's headlight?
Can someone do me a solid and maybe take a pic of their connector and follow the wires to where they splice off the main harness? I'll PayPal you $5.
Im hoping the wires are still there, just got hacked up and taped over. I didn't have the manual on me last night, so I couldn't look for info, plus like always, I was pressed for time.
At least my PS is working

Thanks Ron.
For some reason I confused the schematics and thought it was like on a BMW where each male and female connector has a different number.
Well I went to the junkyard, got the connector with 6" of wiring and I know exactly where it branches off of.
Not a bad learning experience for $3.89

Maybe since its part of the AC harness they just left it as one?
Hmmm kind of weird.
Hopefully I have time tomorrow to locate the wires and see if it works. They split off right by the left-lower corner of the driver's headlight and route towards the fuse box, so as long as they are there, I'll get the connector done.
Thanks for the help!

Well I started searching for the wires in the harness and found them rather quickly - nice.

Then it was onto the actual repair. Pull back the insulation, connect crimp connectos, and reconnect harness.

After respiring the wires I connected C209 back in place and tried the AC. It worked for about 3 minutes before the compressor clutch sstarted screeching and smoking.
So after about 2 hours and $153 broker, I have a reman Denso compressor and dryer in order from Rockauto.
It will be hhere come early next week, so until then I'll unplug C209 and not run the chance of the clutch locking up on me.
I'll keep tthe thread updated once the new parts come in.

Sounds like a seized compressor. Be sure to do a thorough flush because when the compressor fails it often disperses tiny metal shards throughout the system. You may also benefit by replacing the condenser and evaporator.
I'll be replacing the compressor and dryer and will cross my fingers on the rest haha. Thanks for the info.
