Default Clutch Pedal Sensor

Hey guys,

So, today I was trying to adjust where my clutch pedal sits when released, and the treads on the adjuster snapped. So, I unplugged it and removed the thing all together. What's the purpose of this thing being plugged in? Could I just replace it with a bolt and call it a day?

It stops the car from starting without the clutch being depressed. You can jumper the connector with a paperclip or solder the wires together but just be aware if you're in gear and you don't push the clutch in, its going to try and start and will lurch forward.

Oh, okay. This won't be an issue then. I had to replace the wiring harness in my last Integra (a whole nother story) and it was out of an automatic, so it would do the same thing if you didn't hold the clutch pedal in.

Bolt will work and you don't have to worry about soldering anything.
