In my type r the ac compressor only turns on when I ground it from the fuse box to the battery. What could be the issue? Please help.

 

Did you get metal to metal contact where you normally ground it? You need to sand down the metal and make sure you use a ground bolt and not a normal bolt.

Are you sure the wire harness is clipped in all the way?

 

I suggest checking the relay first, then any loose connections in the fuse box.

 

I have checked all connections and they are ok the only thing I have not tried is jumping the thermostat to see if that is the issue. Right now it only work if I ground it from the engine fuse to the battery straight. thanks guys.
