Starting a B18B1 Build With Little Experience "HELP"
Ok so i've experienced the stock B18B1 Engine in 2 Integra's for over 30,000 Miles & now I'm ready and willing to build. My Teggies ONLY aftermarket parts consist of :
•AEM Cool Air Intake that goes down to in front of the wheel. (Getting Splash Guard)
•RS Type Axle-Back Exhaust
•Rear & Front Strut Bars
Here is a picture of my car:
I have created a basic list to start planning a budget for my build. (LIKE I SAID IV'E NEVER DONE A BUILD SO BEAR WITH ME). I'm looking to get 300+HP in the end so that's my goal. My whole point in this forum is to obtain any info about things that are missing from this list that either will not allow me to reach 300 HP or Will Endanger the engine itself in any way.
That is my starter list. Now all i need is to adjust the list to fit a 300+HP Stable Daily Engine.
Will post my progress as i go along and would love to keep in contact with others who are doing a similar build. ANY Help will be greatly appreciated guys.
Re: Starting a B18B1 Build With Little Experience "HELP"
Why did you list OEM crank? You already have one! lol.
Are you going to tear the whole motor apart and start from the bottom? Will add a few things if you are going to do that.
- ACL race bearings
- OEM headgasket
- OEM water pump, oil pump
- timing belt and tensioner
- get the head resurfaced
- clean the valves or get new ones
- micropolish crank
I say get a Hondata or something of that nature. You are going to need a tune once you turbo it.
Got a ton more lol. Its going to cost a bit to do it right. Once you take out the motor build it up. You don't want to do it again because of something small.
