swaped a b18b1 for a b18 help!!
Ok so I swapped my b18b1 for a b18b. Bc I was told it was the same basically all I had to switch was a few brackets than I put the motor in and tried to hook up the electrical wiring to find out a lot of it is diffrent and what's the easiest way to hook it all up I'm using the wiring harness from my original motor since it was already hooked up
Swap all the parts from your original motor to the new one.
- Intake manifold
- Throttle body
- Exhaust manifold
That should take care of most of it. The oil pressure and knock sensor on the back of the block may need to be swapped as well.

I didn't do any of that I only have about 3 wires that I didn't hook up bc I have no where to plug them in or they don't reach one thing I'm wondering is on my other motor on the intake manafold there's a port for a wire to be hooked up but on the new motor that's in my car there is not one on the intake manifold so I just have a wire sitting there I have no idea what the wire does any ideas??
What year is your car. You might have a obd2 motor or obd1. I had the same problem. I have a 01 integra that's a obd2 and it has a obd1 motor and half the plugs or hoses reach
