Ignition switch won't turn over after swap 1998 Prelude MT
Just finished swapping H22A into 98 prelude. Reused the H22A4 ECU, etc. The car runs well, in fact it runs VERY well! HOWEVER. The ignition switch, which never balked before the swap, will only turn if jiggled repeatedly, if at all. I know the clutch must be actuated in order for the switch to be enabled. I searched the manual in the ignition section looking for a circuit diagram for this enable control and couldn't find it.
Any ideas on possible cause? I am going to have a new key made, as the old ones are pretty worn after 17 years, but the coincidence with the swap makes me think there's more to it.
Thanks!

The key should turn over all the way to the starting position without having the clutch pressed in. If your starting the car then yes of course the clutch has to be pressed down. Im thinking you may have answered your own question with getting a new key if that does not work then it may be time to replace the key cylinder as your old one may be damaged.
