Save your self the headache and just use JDM ITR pistons instead. CTR's are very high dome and you risk PTV contact depenfding how much the motor has been decked ect.. One of the biggest overlooked and skipped steps in building a engine is degreaing the cams. This and claying the motor lets you know if your going to have PTV contact and as well as extracting the most HP. You will be in the 200 hp range easy. If your going with a ultra intake you will want to use the 74mm TB at least to take the most advantage of the manifolds 74mm plenium throttle opening. Are you using Pro 2 or Tuner 2 cams? are you assembling the engine?

Yea I hear you most of the time that's the name of the game for those mechanics, They prey on inexperienced people. If you want to consider sending the parts and block out to CA I know several shops who will assemble that engine short block for you correctly on not take advantage of you. I'm not sure on the ring gap you need. I would call a reputable shop that builds these engine, google and call up LHT performance the guys there like John are sooooo help full and always are willing to give advise even over the phone.

I would never use ctr Pistons either, they burn dirty because of the extreme dome. Use either P30 or itr Pistons, you will have a better engine setup
