b18c1 hot start/idle issue...
Not sure if its related or not... i have a b18c1 turbo (specs are on my profile) and it starts up pretty good when cold but when hot it doesnt want to start, the idle issue is when im driving and i let go of the gas at a light, sometimes it drops below 1000 rpms, stumbles and stalls out. It wont always start after it stalls, but can still be push started. Motor turns but will not fire... ive tried to read up and it looks like my options could be main relay, igniter, coil... not sure though cause the idle thing and the hard start seem like it could be related but really dont know... figured maybe someone had ran into this problem before or had an idea... thanks in advance...
coil/icm only 2 things affected by heat that would cause that. best bet just find a new/used OEM distributor, aftermarket aka part store ignition components don't do well with Honda ignition systems.
^ since he can push-start it and it will stay running I doubt it's the main relay. Can you hear the fuel pump priming when it won't start? If it was the main relay the car wouldn't stay running when push-started due to no fuel. More likely ignition related and getting weak spark.
OP, when car won't start check for spark/or lack there of, and fuel. I wouldn't be surprised if the ignition is getting heatsoaked and causing weak/no spark condition. If you allow the car to cool down does it start easily?

Havnt checked for spark when hot yet, pump primes fine. Fuel pressure good at rail. Starts perfect when cold... going to run for a while later and check for spark. As for the weak spark, its a new turbo build and i have a colder plug in it, could that be the cause?
Update..... ran it til it got hot, started stalling again... it cooled down a bit before i could get under the hood so it began to start again but i noticed its not really throwing spark until it starts running... so something is def up with the spark...
