I remember when I logged the voltage readings on mine it closed to a certain % during acceleration. it wasn't completely closed if I remember correctly.

it's never at 0 volts as long as the key is on. but for airlfow purposes, it's effectively shut when you're above the idle and fuel cut thresholds.
