SRS light stuck on
So I recently replaced my headlights on my 95 LX, which caused my SRS light to get stuck on. It was on after my rack was replaced, but that was fixed by replacing the clock spring and clearing the memory. Now after the lights have been replaced, the SRS light is on yet again, and it must be throwing a code because the light comes back on after the memory has been cleared and I start driving. Where should I start?
I pulled the code, and it read 1-1, which is "open in the driver side airbag." This is not the first time that my car has pulled that code, but I have no idea what it means.
The problem could be a bad airbag, cable reel, SRS control unit, or a broken wire. I don't have the specific service manual for your Civic. I believe that TomCat39 does. PM him to ask whether he'll post the 95 Civic troubleshooting pages for SRS code 1-1.
