okay so i have a problem, my car starts fine idles fine revs fine but as soon as i go to drive it starts to like cut out like its turning on and off, its undriveable as it shakes so much when driving, what happened few days ago was driving just over took someone, then chugged and cel came on so i pulled over and revs were bouncing up down between 1000rpm and 2200 , so i drove home kinda just chugged a bit every now and then but was still driveable, now i cleaned iacv and the bouncing revs stopped , and now when i try to drive it wont i have my fuel pump on a switch as wasnt priming ( relay everything works properly, but there is a wire botched into power at main relay ( onto yellow green power for fuel pump) and meets again on the same wire near door , i dont know why it was done maybe a break in wire? so i ran a wire straight from battery to fuel pump with switch and fuse myself and fuel pump works fine now, its just this problem now, i am running obd1 power r ecu , could the ecu be problem? or would be a sensor maybe map sensor? or maybe distributor? or 02 sensor? please help i need my car back thanks

 

also when i try to read codes from ecu just shows a solid cel :/ think cause its obd1 ecu with harness

 

I'd try another ECU if you have access to rule that out but even if its OBD1 it'll still blink codes.

 

i must try get one, got a buddies dc2 one but doesnt fit :/ , could it be fuel pump failure even though it works with wire straight to it?

 

i changed fuel pump no difference just waiting for a ecu off a buddy ill try change that

 

How are you trying to read the cel? Did you verify if the main relay is the culprit? What the hell is a power r ecu? Are you using a obd1 p73 ecu?

 

i bridge the 2 pin connector?? no i didnt verify it just my buddy before had same problem he resoldered relay and fixed it, its a uprated ecu launch control shift light etc, it is a p30 obd1 ecu
