Default Cruise Control Fail(Auto Del sol 93)

I drive a 93 Del sol D16Z6 Automatic. My Cruise Control went out after my buddy and i installed a brake booster/mc. I see in my Chilton manual that a brake switch can cause an issue. But it doesn't show how to diagnose if its that. I'm assuming this is the problem. Fuse is good and it came after booster/mc was installed.

How can i go about solving this? Like i said i have a trouble shoot chart but it doesn't tell me how to test anything. Pics would help alot.

The brake light switch is normally closed and is open when foot off the brake peddle. If the brake lights work as per then the switch is ok.

Okay. Well then..

When I hit the CRUISE button on the on top of the Cluster the light turns green. So that works as well. Maybe it's my actual cruise set/resume switch on the wheel?

Idk where to go from here.

Test the actuator and the cable adjustment.

I just want to let everyone know that i figured the problem out. I went through all the troubleshooting instructions and found that it was in fact the brake switch! The plunger wasn't pressed all the way in! Appreciate all the help.

When the brake lights stay on it is likely that the plastic part in the brake pedal has broken and so the brake light switch button does not make contact and tells the system that the pedal is depressed. This makes the lights stay on. Putting a plastic plug into the hole where this plastic was gives the switch something to hit and the brake lights are off when the pedal is not pressed. BUT. This is not a simple switch and the brake action also controls cruise control, turning it off when you hit the brake. However, the cruise control turns off BEFORE the brake lights go on. (Which is why a little tap to the brake switch gives you back speed control without telling anyone you are braking.) So to really fix the brake-lights-on problem you need to use a plastic plug that is as thick as the original. This lets the cruise control stay on. Worth buying an official plug rather than finding a panel plug that makes the brake lights behave but messes with cruise control. BUT. The official Honda plug is longer than it needs to be to do its job and is long enough that it is impossible to get into the hole without adjusting the switch. There is no room for anything down there. So save yourself some grief and cut the Honda plug down a bit so that it will fit into the gap between the switch and the hole it goes into. Trim, try, curse; repeat as needed until you don't curse. Leave the shoulder and a bit and it will work fine.
{There is a voice of experience here, telling you what might have been the first time instead of how it actually came down.}
