Default del sol electrical problem

I just bought this del sol with unknown history for dirt cheap

150 k on the clock runs good everything works good except the horn and brake lights.

I checked the fuse under the hood to find it was missing the fuse HORN/STOP

I installed a 15 amp fuse and noticed it started using elec as soon as I put the fuse in

walked to the sterring whele and the horn works , walked behind the car and noticed the brake lights are ON

WTF

Is the brake pedal switch adjustable or possibly malfunctioned

I also noced that the 3rd LED brake light didnt come on

even when I push the brakes with my foot

Is this somehting I cna fix myself or Do I need to take it to the pros

9 times out of 10 its the little plastic pointer piece that is on the brake pedal assembly that has broken off..when it is intact it is what pushes the brake switch in, but when its broken off the switch remains out so the contacts are close resulting in your brake lights staying on..look up from the floor at the brake switch and then at your pedal there should be something there.. if not push the piece of the switch in yourself and have someone behind the car to tell you if the lights went off or not..mine broke also, and i just rigged a nut and bolt into the pedal assembly works like a charm if this is not the case come back and give an update

Default Re: del sol electrical problem (Civic Racer X 7)

I would check your brake pedal switch and go from there, if thats not the case I would check in the trunk of the car and work your way forward in the harness looking for shorts or cut wires. The brakes in a sol use GRN/WHT acording to my little diagram. The wires are going to run along the drivers side of the car btw along the door jamb in a protected little track. Could be as simple as a disconected or lose ground for the high brake light as well
