Default noob wideband question

So far I have my idle settings tuned in. I have no tags on the car currently (waiting on mva to send me the title, I lost it somewhere along the line but meh) so I cant take it out and street test it yet. (read as just first gear in my development.)

So all that being said lets get to the new questions.

#1. I currently have hondata s300 running on a p28, Phearable OBD1 to OBD2 jumper harness, Innovate LC-1 wired brown wire (wideband out) to the oxygen sensor signal wire (blue with red stripe). The wideband sensor is in place of the primary upstream sensor. I have an auto timer from Innovate as well but no matter what I do the display will not come on so I shelved it for now.
Anyways I said all that to say this. I never see the voltage off the sensor change in hondata more than .02 volts. It reads 3.75-3.77 ALWAYS! And I mean ALWAYS, rev, idle, 2 step, no change... even that fluctuation does not seem to be due to throttle, it just wanders randomly! I free air calibrated it before I put it in... Maybe it needs to be recalibrated. IDK. Is this common? Or am I on the wrong wire? Also can I run closed loop with the wideband sensor output, or do i need to go to simulated narrowband? (yellow off the lc-1.)

Pinouts and screenshots would help. Oh, car would help also...

Have you tried hooking up your computer to the LC-1 controller using LogWorks to see what is going on?

I'm not a fan of using the stock narrow band O2 ECU pin for external wideband input. That's just me though. I don't think that would have anything to do with your lack of voltage change unless the ECU you are using is faulty.

Try hooking up Logworks and see if you can us it to monitor the LC-1 Controller.

All you need to do is the 5v upgrade and it works just fine. It leaves your ELD intact or open for another datalogging input. I do the 5v O2 conversion on all the ECUs I socket.

I agree. I have done a few O2 circuit resistor swaps as well. Works great! I was referring more to using the stock O2 circuit. Most "Chipped" ECU's won't include the resistor swap on the O2 circuit. Even without the swap it should still work, it just won't read above 3.8v. The op's issue seems to be more than the ECU circuit though!

Seems like it could be a sensor/controller output or wiring issue.

I'm sorry, I made that post when i was flustered. Car is a 98 rs with a gsr under the hood.
I got my title, getting tags tomorrow morning. That being said I've been doing alot of reading. I removed the resistors from r2 and 3, for analog 2. So Thats where im at so far. I can't hook my wideband to my laptop because i do not have the correct adaptor. I'm just going to keep reading and try to setup my analog 2 for lambda.

Sorry everyone, I'm a virgin to hondata.

there is rarely any reason to do a 5v modification. if it's not changing voltage it's probably because it's not reading it. normally this is what you'll see when the mixture is leaner than 17:1 AFR. so:
1. make sure you're not just running lean. make it pig rich, and test the voltage straight from the wire to make sure you're getting a legitimate signal.
2. if the signal is constantly 5v then either it was not calibrated properly or the wideband system is malfunctioning.
3. to make sure, plug in with a serial cable and compare the readings in LogWorks to the voltage you're receiving. if it's always showing lean, either it's lean, or the wideband is out of calibration or faulty.
4. make sure you're actually tapped in to D14 (OBD1) and the original O2 is disconnected. I'm pretty sure the primary O2 wire is solid white, even on OBD2A.
5. make sure you're set to receive signal from D14 in SManager, and not D10 or another input.
6. use a different ECU.
7. use a different S300.
8. drive the car off a cliff, this is only the beginning of your troubles.

I am having a similar problem. i will try to make this short and sweet. In my Neptune software i have no codes as well as no check engine lights.

With everything connected properly my Voltage reads 3.84 wich is well withing 0-5V

when i unplug my o2 sensor, the voltage still stays the same in my tuning program.

once i use a Volt meter to check voltage between d14 and oposing black wire on wire harness and turn the key on i get 0.02V on both my volt meter and my tuning software.

I would also like to mention that if i do the same thing to the other two pin outs i get around 12V same as battery.

What i want to do is get my wide band working into my neptune software and get the right numbers

i know that for my wide band the voltage graph is linear with 0=9af and 5=19

i just want to be able to datalog so i can tune while im driving down the road to get it close.

Currently running a B16 stock map and my build is a B16 with a B20 bottom end. original p28ecu for car chipped with demon+neptune package.

Hear are some pictures to have a quick look. Hope i can get some help.

Also like to mention that my wideband works perfectly fine. I just want to make this a faster process. Thanks
