Default Trying to get this street tuning thing down

Hey guys,

Here's a screen shot of my lamda view. Ignore the extremely lean spots. That's due to deceleration. I should stop logging during these times. Anyways, what do you guys think of my map so far. This is just for street driving. No WOT sweeps yet.

Also ignore that one crossed line in there. ;-)

Stock LS motor in a hatch.

Thanks for the criticism. I'll have to read through that when I get a chance. I glanced over it briefly and it looks legit. It looks like Miles Davis did an awesome job on it. Do you know the guy?

Anyways, your tune is all over the place and very rich like previously stated. You really should take the time to research about tuning before you wash your cylinders with fuel or blow your engine. It's no joke to go into head first without having the basic concepts down.

No no, you NEED to read that manual before cranking your engine again on that tune you show above. The manual is technically Crome specific, but you should look beyond the specifics into the deeper general concepts he describes in there. There are some real gold nuggets in there that cannot be ignored.

My advice is to:

1) Ditch the tune you posted above, and start with one of the many free base tunes given away with Neptune.

2) Bare minimum start with section 6 of the tuning manual FIRST to get temp tuning down and your compensation tables dialed in. Then go back to section 5 and begin making it run nicely on the street. In that order. But you really need to read the whole manual to get an idea of how to create smooth beautiful fuel curves.

3) Use a knock sensor, read your plugs, be safe tuning on the street, and take it slow.

Good luck you'll do fine. There are lots of us on here that have done it ourselves.

Thanks for the comments guys. I don't think I'm at risk of bore wash. From what I've read bore wash happens at idle when AFRs are 12.5 and below. In response to your replies I'm definitely gonna take some fuel out. I'll post picks of the update trace log.

I bet you thought that this would be another thread that doesn't get updated. Well... you thought wrong. Here's an update.

I think I'm getting there. Here's a picture of an updated lamda view. I'm not sure how to use the interpolation tools in neptune. Let me know what you guys think. bump

That map is no good.
Fuel maps shouldn't resemble topographical maps.
