Need some help on my Civic 96 (ECU and Idling Problems)
Hi guys!
Got a local Civic 96 here in the Philippines. I swapped out the original engine for a JDM D15B dual vtec engine. It is on a manual tranny but the ECU serial is a P2J-062 (which i think is for automatic). It runs, but i have had problems on my idling like it stalls when i put it on neutral from a selected gear while running and when its stationary coming from a travel, the idling tends to like bounce up several times (many) before settling at a constant rate. Also when i step on the brakes rpm rises.
Is my ECU not appropriate for the tranny? And what could best explain the behavior of my engine?
Thanks a lot guys!
