tire wear--suspension or alignment
Im stumped--- who can read tire wear?

this isn't the tire, but it looks similar. So the inside edge is worn out, however its cupped, so its bald for a 4" patch, then ok for 2-3", then bald for a 4" patch again.
Ive never seen anything like it.
Any ideas? Only on the passenger side- driver tire is fine. Passenger side got like this in around 6k miles of wear (before I got to rotate them around)

better pic (also not of actual tire) too cold to snap pic

ok threads in my case are further apart, and it'd be the inside of the tire, not the outside--- but you get the picture
Alignment only? I did the 12-6 and 3-9 quick test on the front tire, both "seem" fine.

Feathering like that comes from severe misalignment, and not infrequently failing suspension components. A good alignment shop will be able to tell you if there's a problem with the hardware, though, since they won't be able to properly DO the alignment if there is.
yea, Im going swing over and buy the lifetime alignment package tomorrow - and well see.
I already purchased all the suspension items, however---if its just an alignment, Ill just do that for now

I had similar tire wear on my Civic, and I have the lifetime alignment package at Firestone. It's worth it. I didn't have any toe issues anytime I had it aligned, but I did have almost -3* in front and -4* in back. I think it's more the shape of the tire with larger outside blocks and camber than it is toe.
I used to think it was toe as well, but my toe was always spot on every time so I don't see how it could be.
Disregard the price, this was when I was selling them.

These tires are worn from toe. The very inside edge is gone. The "camber wear" is the gradual transition from side to side.
Did you have loose bushings that would allow the toe to move even after an alignment was done?
If your camber was as far off as you say, even a normally allowable amount of toe would VERY quickly wear them. Camber facilitates more wear than it actually causes.
