Hey guys I've been trying to locate a rear quarter panel for my del sol or any advice on what i should do to fix it. Its not horrible but where the bumper bolts to the quarter is rusted out so I don't have anything to anchor the bumper too.






This is the rust. that was before winter hit. lol

 

the're listed as still available from Honda, but cost about 450 plus shipping online.
You can watch ebay for one located out of the rust belt. There is one now in NC for about half of new.

I've been lucky getting parts by looking through ebay for someone parting out a car and contacting them for the specific part I needed. Dismantlers usually only list the commonly purchased parts but will sell whatever they have.

My FIL did tons of rust repair at his shop in new york. If this hasn't spread a good body man can build a patch from scratch.

 

Strip it, sand it, seal it, repaint it. Easy. If you're having problems with the bumper attaching...well, you already have the wheels, why not get some quick releases to finish the "image"?

If you want to do it the right way, you'll need to cut and replace that chunk of the car. IF you want to do it cheap, strip, sand to bare metal, seal, repaint, and use something else to hold the bumper in place.

 

Okay thanks for the answers. Right now if I strip it, sand it, seal it, and repaint it Would it stop the rusting for a year if I needed it to until I found a new quarter And I couldn't tell if you were serious about the quick disconnect and my rims. lmao
