Default 93 del sol, rear quarter panel

hello to everyone, new to the forum and first post.

i recently picked up a this 93 del sol for $1500. seller got hit and damaged the quarter panel and rear bumper.

anyone know about how much it will be to get it repaired? paint is just under a year old so im sure it can be matched.

also, is it worth it?

I know you can get the quarter panels from Honda and one site I've seen online for about $450-500. You can get a bumper cover for around $100-$150 on ebay. Then you are gonna need to pay someone to paint it and cut and weld it in and hopefully their inst to much else damage. I love sols so i'd like to see someone fix it But its not gonna be cheap.

here is the link to to the quarter numbers 3 and 6 http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...ONENTS+%283%29

The mis-alignment of the trunk make me suspect more damage than just the quarter panel. It's not going to be cheap.

Yes, those honda prices are scary!

Long story short, i came across the car in the middle of class on CL.
Engine had just been rebuilt by a reputable company and it was about $2800. He had painted it also, nothing great but he still spent 14-1500 i believe.
He had it for $2000, but agreed to $1500, drove an hour to get and only 4 hours after he had listed it.

I wanted to get some opinions on the price.
I went to a local shop, they would go cut the panel and bumper from a del sol at a pull. The would replace both, match paint, for $1050.

Now i guess im just worried if they will do a good job

It looks far worse on the picture. The shop said they would leave it straight. Although i have no experience with them, i have been told they are pretty good.

In my opinion $1050 is a little cheap. I look frequently at ever pick and pull place around me and barley ever find del sol. If you do, the quarters are rusty and not worth using.
Either way its your car and your money. If they can find clean quarters and do good work hell yeah.

That was the first thing that came up when i googled the car, rear q p rust.

I live in West Tennessee so most cars are rust free or very minimal rust. The pull a part had the panel for $100, the previous owner gave me all the info.

I have never owned a honda, and this car comes with the stock d16z6 and I thought i would be a fun new stick car.

I will update with pics once i get it back for sure.

Thanks for the replies

So I dropped my car off at the Shea Stadium junk yards and if you've ever been to NY then you know this is the place you go for cheap work. These are pictures before the repairs. I had a rear clip and I'll have after pictures. Oh BTW they're charging me 500 for all the work plus a spray of the bumper witch I sourced on eBay for 160 but it's in blue.
